How to Effectively Lessen your Emotional Baggage

To effectively lessen an individual’s emotional baggage, one should love herself more. As they say, loving yourself doesn’t fall to the grounds of being selfish. You cannot truly love another person until you know how to love yourself. It is an indication that you fully accept your fate and moving forward is the best thing to do.

Searching for your own self after a painful past is not that easy. It requires an extensive process in order to free yourself from toxic people. As what I have mentioned on my previous articles, you cannot meet your destined man if you cannot undergo pain. In addition, it is one of the factors that re-boost your self-esteem and self-confidence.

1. Improve yourself.

You must make yourself busy by acquiring new set of skills. You may begin by learning how to play various musical instruments like guitar, piano, violin, and other instruments that you like to study. You can also start with sports like learning how to play volleyball, basketball, football, gymnastics, and the like. Start doing something new and live life to the fullest!

2. Mend your broken heart.

You must give yourself a time to heal after all the heart aches and frustrations that you’ve been through. It involves being present and accepting of what’s actually happening versus trying to avoid it or numb yourself. While it might feel safer to deny your feelings and pretend the breakup isn’t happening, you need to confront it to heal. Lastly, you must meditate and observe yourself in order for you to grow as a person.

3. Refurbish your style.

We all knew that after a devastating heartbreak, one needs to pamper himself/herself. Go to facial spa, you really need this since after crying and sobbing every night your face gets dry and wrinkles can be seen all over your face. You should start rejuvenating your face in order to have a glowing and radiant skin. After this, buy some new clothes, shoes, and other fashion stuff for you to look new and great. One cannot deny that after following this step, he/she felt good and great about himself/herself.

4. Be glad.

This is the best tip that I can give you. In order to fully move on from the past, you must be happy and contented of your present. You may start thinking of ideas that could bring more joy to your current dating life. In this way, you must always think that you are committed to your present partner and giving him the best parts of his life.

5. Treat yourself right.

Indulge yourself in relaxing places like beaches, mountains with great views, silent but lovely places or else you start travelling with your own. It is essential to make time for yourself because by going to these kinds of places you may start yourself that you are worth to be love, it is not just right this time because there’s always the ideal and right guy for you in a right time. So, start packing your clothes and travel essentials and restart your life.

6. Delete all bad memories.

In order to start fresh, you should let go of this person including all the memories that you shared with her. Yes, I know it is not that easy to let go and forget but what I mean is you must put in mind that there is no chance for the both of you to be together. Love should be equal and in your case it’s not. You deserve to be with someone who feels like they have won the lottery because you have chosen to be with them not someone who’s there reluctantly.
